NFL Player seriously injured in Monday Night Football, Game indefinitely postponed!

Tonights's NFL Monday Night Football game has been postponed due to a devastating injury to Buffalo Bill Safety Damar Hamlin.

Hamlin has just made a 1st quarter tackle against Cincinnati wide receiver Tee Higgins on a "2nd down and 3 yards to go" play. After the tackle, Hamlin initially got back on his feet but almost immediately collapsed unconscious.

Medical personnel immediately attended to him on the field while players gathered around and prayed. An ambulance was brought out onto the field and as Hamlin was being placed into the ambulance on a stretcher, the Medical Personnel placed his stretcher on the field and began CPR.

After approximately 10 -15 minutes of CPR was performed, Hamlin was placed into the ambulance and was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center (A Level 1 Trauma Center) where he is listed in critical condition.

Both teams retired to their locker rooms where league officials in NY conferred with teams officials and coaches and the game was postponed indefinitely.

The NFL Issued a statement at about 10:10 pm announcing the injury and the postponement of the game and that further information would be released as it becomes available.
