Tickets now on sale for FOUR OLD BROADS at the Sherman Playhouse June 30-July 22

The Sherman Players continue their 2023 season with the area premiere of FOUR OLD BROADS, written by Leslie Kimbell and directed by Kate Kovacs. The play will open on Friday, June 30th and run four weekends through July 22nd at the Sherman Playhouse.

ABOUT THE PLAY - Life has not been at all pleasant at Magnolia Place Assisted Living in Petula, Georgia.  Bingo and basket weaving is NOT what the doctor ordered. Four sassy senior citizens; Beatrice, Eaddy, Imogene and Maude, dish the dirt, fall in love and get into a WHOLE heap of trouble as they find themselves thrown headfirst into solving a dangerous mystery.  A roller coaster of hilarity ensues through loads of naughty laughter, happy tears and even an old Elvis impersonator.  Will they catch the villain?  What happened to Doctor Head?  Will Beatrice ever find a man?  One thing is certain…these old broads are not YOUR grandmother…or wait…maybe they are.

The cast of FOUR OLD BROADS features Susan Abrams, Amanda Bunting, Brian Feinberg, Catherine Howard, Barbara Kessler, Jana Makejeva and Nina Wilson.

FOUR OLD BROADS runs June 30, July 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 8:00 p.m. on Fridays & Saturdays. There will be two 2:00 p.m. Sunday matinees on July 9 and 16. Tickets are $24 for adults and $12 for students. On Thursday, June 29, all patrons are invited to attend a "Half-Price Preview Night" at 8:00 p.m., where tickets at the door are only $12. Students may see any performance for $12 if they carry a valid student ID.

And to celebrate this upcoming production, members of the cast will be presenting a selection of scenes from the show at two locations:

  • Saturday June 10th at 2:15 p.m. at The Linden, 291 Federal Road in Brookfield CT

  • Saturday June 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Chestnut Grove, 200 Chestnut Grove in New Milford CT
