The Brewster Farmers Market is Officially Back in Town!

R&G Produce is back in town! This fantastic news was shared by Mike Miller, manager of the R&G Farmstand that was the anchor vendor at Brewster Farmers’ Market formerly located at the intersection of Main Street and Peaceable Hill Road. Brothers Raymond & Gary Glowaczewski are the owners of R&G Produce. Mike Miller has worked for them for years, and has done a lot of legwork in bringing back the Saturday farmers market to the Brewster area & community. This Market is a sweet little hidden Gem.

Mike explained that in 2017, legislation and local laws were drafted, voted on & implemented through the Town of Southeast. A new local law was passed & added to chapter #72 effective 01-01-2018 that allowed farmers markets. After finding a location as close as they could to the original one, they applied for the necessary license and permits. Thanks to Stuart Arbeit, Owner of Custom Spares Ltd Auto Parts Store, R&G will be renting their parking lot at 997 NY-22 on Saturdays from 8:00 am thru 2:00 pm thru the end of October 2023.

The R&G Farmstand offers over 150 plus items every week, including all kinds of pickles, olives, and other pickled items, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, fresh eggs, fresh honey, and have a great bakery selection where the breads are made fresh early Saturday by a superb Italian Bakery out of Monroe NY called Lalima's Bakery.  We have prosciutto bread, olive bread, Romano cheese bread, Italian bread, chocolate bread, pretzels, spinach feta croissants, and a whole bunch of other goodies.  These breads and goodies are all of extreme quality and taste.  We have all kinds of seasonal veggies and fruits. A majority of the produce is grown locally in Goshen NY in the black dirt soil.  We have arguably the best onions, radishes, beets, carrots, and sweetcorn in the world.  Please come check us out.
