Manning Replaces Joshua Beckett-Flores on November Ballot

The New Fairfield Democratic Party has announced that Joshua Beckett-Flores has withdrawn his name from the November 7, 2023, ballot for a position on the Board of Assessment Appeals and that they are adding Gregory Manning to the Democratic Slate for that position.

Mr. Manning is currently the chair of the Board of Assessment Appeals, a position he has held for 25 years. With his background in commercial banking, he thoroughly understands how the Board operates and what is required when a taxpayer appeals the assessed value of their property. Mr. Manning had previously run on the Republican slate.

“The New Fairfield Democratic Town Committee values experience and expertise in its candidates. When we heard that Greg had not been included on the Republican slate, it was a no brainer for the DTC to ask him to join the Democratic slate and for me to step back,” said Beckett-Flores. “The two current Republican candidates have no background on assessment processes. New Fairfield needs Greg’s capabilities and knowledge of the town to make sure the assessment appeals process is fair and runs smoothly.”
