Eastern student Savannah Goodness of New Fairfield plays on field hockey team this fall 2023

Eastern Connecticut State University's women's field hockey team recently commenced its fall 2023 season. The roster includes 21 players, welcoming nine first-year members to the program.

Among the student-athletes is Savannah Goodness of New Fairfield, number 23, who plays defense. Goodness is a first-year student who majors in Physical Education.

Head Coach Christine Hutchison enters her 20th season with the program, having won more matches than any other coach in team history.

"With almost half the team as newcomers, we are looking forward to learning and growing as the season continues," said Hutchison.
