Healing Hoofbeats of CT to Host Fundraiser Oct. 14

Healing Hoofbeats of CT in Bethlehem, a leading animal, and equine-supported psychotherapy practice, will host their annual Trailblazers fundraiser on October 14th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will begin at a private horse farm at 94 Isaiah Lane in Morris which borders 4,000 scenic acres of White Memorial Conservation Center in Litchfield. Event participants on horseback, bikes, and foot, will be invited to enjoy an easy hike/bike trail or horse trail, and then all will return to the farm for a catered lunch, live music, and a raffle.

The non-profit Healing Hoofbeats of CT is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges through the power of animal- and equine-supported therapy. Their mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where individuals can find healing, strength, and empowerment through their connection with animals.

Their Trailblazers event raises money to provide Veterans with free therapy through their Operation Warrior Horse fund. Participants will enjoy a light hour-long walk, bike, or horseback ride through White Memorial Conservation Center, and return to the farm for live music by Kevin & The Hammers, a catered lunch, raffle, and camaraderie.

"We are excited to invite the community to our Trailblazers event," says Ashley Kenney, Director of Development. "It's a day for people to experience the magic of equine-supported psychotherapy firsthand while contributing to a cause that changes veterans’ lives. We look forward to welcoming participants of all ages and backgrounds for a memorable day of connection, adventure, and healing."

Tickets are $35/person, and free for Veterans, and can be purchased at www.healinghoofbeatsofct.org/events/warrior-wellness-trailblazers-hike-bike-trail-ride-1 or on-site on the day of the fundraiser. All proceeds will go directly toward supporting Healing Hoofbeats of CT's mission to make equine therapy accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities.
