Pacific House 20th Annual Celebration To Honor Community Partners

When Pacific House hosts its 20th Annual Celebration on Thursday, October 21, it will honor five community partners that helped the organization weather the storm throughout the pandemic. The Pacific House 2021 Community Partnership Honorees are: Sam Cingari, The Cingari Family, Grade A – ShopRite; Community Health Center, Inc.; First Congregational Church of Greenwich; New Covenant Center / Catholic Charities of Fairfield County; and Robert Morris, Founder and Managing Partner, Olympus Partners.

“The unwavering support these individuals and organizations provided throughout the past year is nothing short of heroic,” said Rafael Pagan, Jr., Executive Director of Pacific House. “The pandemic upended our day-to-day operations, causing us to mobilize quickly to protect the safety of our clients. We are deeply grateful to our community partnership honorees for their generous support and assistance throughout that complex process.”

Pacific House is the only regional shelter for homeless men and young adults, and is a leader in developing deeply affordable housing for formerly homeless individuals. For over 35 years, Pacific House has served our community by providing food, temporary shelter, affordable housing and an array of support services to help clients get back on their feet to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.

Since the beginning of 2020, when the homeless clients were at critical risk of contracting Coronavirus, Pacific House worked to rapidly house more than 80 people that now have permanent housing to keep them off the streets. In all, Pacific House has 140 units of permanent, deeply affordable supportive housing.

At the Pacific House 20th Annual Celebration, which will be held virtually, the organization will share its extraordinary efforts throughout the pandemic to quickly house homeless individuals and divert others from descending into homelessness. The evening will host a festive ‘live from the red carpet experience, followed by a dynamic program that includes a silent auction and a live paddle raise, allowing participants the opportunity to name the affordable supportive housing units.

The inspiring evening begins at 6pm with a pre-award celebration, and the official program begins at 7pm. Both will stream live on https://www.pacifichouse.org/ and a variety of high-profile sponsorship opportunities are still available, please contact Jennifer Broadbin at jbroadbin@pacifichouse.org for details.

“We ask the community to join in the celebration, our largest fundraiser of the year, to learn about the steps we’ve taken throughout the pandemic to quickly house those who are experiencing homelessness and to prevent others from facing that difficulty,” said Pagan.

Pacific House would like to thank its generous sponsors, including Title Sponsor: The Vranos Family Foundation, Platinum Sponsors: Alice Melly, Chris and Lauren Tate, and the Rogers Family Foundation, Gold Sponsors: Bob Phillips, Coldwell Banker Global Luxury, First County Bank, Justin and Marie Maccarone, Bob and Jinny Rimmer, Rob and Holly Lockhart, Stamford Health, Jim Duffy, Joan Weisman and Webster Bank, N.A., Silver Sponsors: Community Health Center, Inc., Eileen and Tom Hynes, Finn Family Foundation, Sarita and Gregory Hanley, Boni Construction, Frank Corvino, and Nielsen Florist & Garden Center.
