Pearl Harbor, Day of Infamy is Discussed by Historian Mark Albertson at New Canaan Library

Historian Mark Albertson returns to New Canaan Library to discuss a defining moment in American history. Join him for a talk on the bombing of Pearl Harbor and how it marked America's official entrance into the second World War. December 7, 1941, The Day of Infamy:  America enters the global conflict which would lead to the demise of European colonialism and the advent of the Cold War.  December 1941 was the turning point of the conflict; and Pearl Harbor, together with the Soviet Army’s victory over Hitler’s forces at Moscow, charted the course of the eventual defeat of the Axis Powers

Mark Albertson is a historical research editor at Army Aviation magazine. He is also the historian for the Army Aviation Association of America. Mark is a long time member of the United States Naval Institute. He has authored several books, and currently teaches history at Norwalk Community College.
