Library Hosts Program on Cold Blooded Vertebrates, presented by New Canaan Nature Center on March 8

New Canaan Library invites all to warm up to the unique beauty and history of cold-blooded vertebrates with a hands-on, informative program presented by New Canaan Nature Center. The event takes place on Thursday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library's Adrian Lamb Room. Please register for this program online at newcanaanlibrary.org

Reptiles and amphibians are vertebrates with unique characteristics and habits that have evolved over millions of years. New Canaan Nature Center educators will discuss the history, biology, and concerns facing the animals today. They will also relay some fun facts, such as how to tell frogs from toads, the difference between poisonous and venomous animals, the habitats of turtles, and whether or not snakes lay eggs. New Canaan Nature Center will bring live animal ambassadors for attendees to view up close during the presentation.

The New Canaan Nature Center is a not-for-profit environmental education organization dedicated to inspiring people of all ages to respect, protect, and enjoy the world of nature.
