John Lewis: Get in the Way Documentary Screening

Join us for a special screening of John Lewis: Get in the Way, the story of Congressman John Lewis. Through never-before-seen interviews shot over 20 years, filmmaker Kathleen Dowdey shapes a gripping and intimate tale of Lewis' unwavering fight for justice.Once an activist pushing from the outside, Lewis is now a legislator making noise on the inside, pressing powerbrokers to hear the voices of the unheard.

Lets make some explosive and fizzy fun! With some basic chemistry principles, we can create our own lush and relaxing bath bombs that explode and effervesce when dropped in water. Using essential oils, coloring, and simple ingredients, we can make bath time treats to enjoy or give as gifts.

Let's celebrate Pi Day by learning how to make our own mini pies! We'll learn the basics of pie crust with a classic pate brisee and roll out our own mini pies to bake at home. Let's celebrate the ratio of diameter to circumference and learn how to make and roll out a light, flaky dough to weave together for a fancy crust! Please bring an apron or a smock.

Celebrate Pi Day by creating a bracelet that represents the digits of pi. String the first 3 digits--or go big and string the first 100 digits of pi! Start your bracelet by assigning each number between 0-9 a color, and then string the beads in order. While you work, learn more about pi!
