Self-Portrait Collage Workshop in New Canaan with artist & instructor Suzanne Siegel on Tuesday, June 5 from 10am-3pm
Artists & Beginners Welcome — portrait collages of other people can also be made. In this new workshop, participants will explore several approaches to self-portrait collages. Portraits can include surroundings, or focus on any aspect of self that you choose. Working up to 18 x 24″, you can begin with a drawing, painting, past or current photograph, or a mirror and a blank page. Explore your inner and outer being, one piece of collage paper at a time. Using line, color, shape, texture, pattern and transparency, the instructor will guide you with examples from Picasso to Rembrandt including demonstrations and ideas.
