Christine Peyreigne Presents Falconry and Raptors Bird Show and Informative Talk at New Canaan Library

New Canaan Library is pleased to welcome back licensed falconer Christine Peyreigne for another exciting program on the art and sport of falconry. The event will be held on Saturday, June 9 at 11 a.m. in Christine's Garden, adjacent to the Library on the corner of Maple Street and South Avenue. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Adrian Lamb Room. Please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org.

This unique, family-friendly program will focus on falconry (hunting with a bird of prey); offering a live demonstration as well as an informative talk. Christine will bring with her a falconry bird and other raptor ambassadors, including a bald eagle in her care. Christine Peyreigne is a licensed falconer, wildlife rehabilitator for migratory birds and an educator with raptors and reptiles. She rescues injured raptors, rehabilitates and releases those that are able to be released, or finds educational facilities for those deemed non-releasable due to their injuries. Christine's Critters, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
