New Canaan EMS to Host Community Open House on Sunday from 11 am to 1pm
Meet the Corps, Learn the Heimlich, Enjoy Food, Games + Giveaways
New Canaan Emergency Medical Services (NCEMS), the 911 provider of emergency medical services to the town of New Canaan, invites the community to an Open House, to be held at its headquarters at 182 South Avenue, Sunday, September 30, 11:00am-1:00pm.
The Open House is a great way to learn more about the emergency services that NCEMS provides for New Canaan. It also provides an opportunity for those interested in joining us to learn more about becoming an EMT. All ages are encouraged to attend. The event will feature:
- Light food and drinks
- Ambulance Tours
- Fire Truck Tours
- Police Squad Car Tours
- Free Blood Pressure Checks
- Coloring Books + Stickers Giveaways
- Reflective Mailbox Numbers Giveaways
- File of Life Magnet Giveaways
Guests are also invited to join special demonstrations of Compressions Only CPR, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Heimlich from 11:30am-12:00pm for adults CPR and 12:00pm-12:00pm for children.
NCEMS is a 100% volunteer-led organization that responds to over 1850 emergency calls per year in New Canaan and surrounding towns. Our Corps EMTs are highly trained to the exact standards the State of Connecticut requires. Volunteers embody the spirit of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”, by stepping up to make a real difference in our town and providing the highest quality pre-hospital emergency care. NCEMS is actively looking for new members, and we invite you to learn more about NCEMS and the rewarding opportunities being an EMT provides.
