Samuel White leads PDBW, an architectural practice that combines historic restoration and adaptive reuse with new designs in historic settings. The firm’s current commissions include the conversion of the Park Avenue Armory into a major cultural venue, galleries for the New York Historical Society, a school for children who are on the autistic spectrum, a 14-story synagogue and community house on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, and a Net-Zero-Energy dormitory for Williams College.
