New Canaan Library Presents Music of the Exotic World, Performed by Concert Violinist Dr. David Podles

New Canaan Library presents a mesmerizing musical evening with a performance by internationally acclaimed concert violinist, Dr. David Podles. The Library welcomes back Dr. Podles on Thursday, February 7, when he will present “Music of the Exotic World,” bringing to life a collection of music from exotic lands. The event takes place at 6:30 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room. Please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org.

Embark on a faraway and fascinating musical journey through the exotic lands of India, Algeria, Iran, Turkey, Peru, Columbia, Korea, China, Kenya, Hawaii and more. The Library invites the audience to sit back and let themselves be immersed in the beauty and diversity of this special performance.

International concert violinist Dr. David Podles of Riga, Latvia, is laureate of 3 prestigious international competitions and graduated from Conservatory in Riga with a PhD in music. He performed in symphony, chamber, opera and ballet theater orchestras, both solo and on tour across Russia, including The Bolshoi and Kirov, throughout Europe and the U.S. David has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, 92nd St. Y., and at Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center.
