The 39th Annual Family Fourth of July Celebration will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday, July 4, 2019 when Waveny Park will open to entrance pass holders at the main gate on South Avenue. Activities will include family picnics, children’s games and several gourmet food trucks. Live music will include “Mind the Gap” from 5:30-7:00 pm, and the Town Band from 7:00-9:15 pm. A spectacular fireworks display is scheduled to start soon thereafter.
Entrance passes are currently on sale for New Canaan residents at $35 per car and are available online through June 28 and in person at the Recreation Department office in Waveny House, Gates Restaurant, Baskin-Robbins, the New Canaan Toy Store, Walter Stewart’s Market and Town Clerk’s Office all through July 3. A limited number of non-resident passes at $65 per car are available at the Recreation Department Office through July 3.
