Shop, Sip and Sidewalk Sale to benefit Future 5

Diane Roth, owner of L'Armoire invites the community and fellow businesses to join her and members of the Future 5 team for wine and hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Luis at Gates Restaurant on Friday, July 12th between 5-7pm. The gathering will celebrate Future 5’s 10th Anniversary and a percentage of sales will benefit the organization.

Founded in 2009 by longtime New Canaan resident Clif McFeely, Future 5 helps connect motivated, low-income high school students in Stamford to their full potential. With the support of more than 90 local Future 5 coaches and volunteers, the organization helps connect students to college, careers, the community, and most importantly, their own character.

In June, 56 Future 5 high school seniors, received 266 acceptances to 67 colleges and universities. They received more than $750,000 in college and other scholarships, including Horatio Alger, Stamford Rotary and City of Stamford JWV Community Service awards.  Future 5 students will be attending colleges that include Iona, Manhattanville, University of Pennsylvania, UConn and Norwalk Community College this fall.  More about Future 5 can be found at www.futurefive.org.
