Tickled Pink to Help Fight Breast Cancer

Gates Restaurant invite you to drink pink and enjoy local, award winning comedian - Carolyn Paine debut her stand-up show on Thursday, October 10th 7-9pm. Carolyn's shorts have been recognized by the Women in Comedy Festival, New Haven International Film Festival and she won at the International Comedy Festival in CA! She herself has been affected by breast cancer having lost both of her grandmothers to the disease.

Gates have created a cocktail called 'The Pink Warrior' to honor Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October. Its vibrant color is complimented with Tequila infused with blood orange, grilled pineapple, grilled jalapeños, and cactus pear. This tasty cocktail is finished with fresh lime juice and agave.

During the night of Tickled Pink you will receive a complimentary Pink Warrior cocktail and 40-minute stand-up comedy. A portion of proceeds from every ticket sale will go to Susan G. Komen New England. This Foundation save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Stephanie Pulis, Development Coordinator Special Events says: “Connecticut has one of the highest rates of breast cancer incidence in the United States. At Komen New England, we work closely with and grant to organizations like the Hispanic Health Council and Hartford Hospital that provide breast health education, mammography’s and patient navigation services to men and women, with a focus on those that are uninsured and underinsured. Fundraisers like Tickled Pink Comedy Night allow us to support these organizations and continue the fight against breast cancer.”
