New Business Series: The Story of Startups is Presented by New Canaan Library and New Canaan Chamber of Commerce

New Canaan Library and the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce are pleased to present a four-part business series aimed at those considering new business ventures and pivots. Led by professional business advisor Christine Sullivan, the series will each week address a specific topic related to startups, beginning on Tuesday, February 2 with “Starting a Business 101.” The talk will be presented at 7 PM EST via video conference; sign in information will be provided upon registration at newcanaanlibrary.org.

For those who have thought about launching their own business but were not sure where to begin, professional business advisor Christine Sullivan will answer that question and more as she lays out the basics of starting one’s own business. Among the topics to be covered are the logistics of whether an LLC or sole proprietorship is best, what kind of business plan is appropriate and what special programs the state of CT offers to support its entrepreneurs. The series continues Tuesday, February 9 with “The Art of Pivoting.”

Christine Sullivan is a Business Advisor for the Connecticut Small Business Development Center and a Business Consultant for the UCONN School of Business. Christine enjoys helping entrepreneurs and small business owners achieve their next milestone.
