Join Miss Rebecca and Miss Dajana for songs, stories, and musical fun when we meet in our Zoom room! Bring a shaker to make some noise or a scarf to wave around. Wave to your friends at the end! This class is for any baby or toddler up to 2 years old with a caregiver. Register once for all four sessions (2/3, 2/10, 2/17, and 2/24).

This month we are reading Scythe by Neal Shusterman! Join us in a Zoom meeting to discuss the book and chat with your friends! This program is for any children who are in 6th-7th grade.

Join Miss Marie and Miss Rebecca for songs, rhymes, felt-board stories, and special books when we meet in our Zoom room! This class is for those who are 24-36 months old with a caregiver. Please only sign up if you have a child that age. Register once for all four classes (2/4, 2/11, 2/18, and 2/25). Supplementary materials will be available for checkout.
 
 
SEAM Rippers is a monthly non-fiction book club with a paired do-at-home activity. There are four paths to choose from, each a letter from SEAM: Science, Engineering, Art or Math. Select your path, then pick up your book and paired activity kit from the library. Read your book and complete the paired activity anytime during the month of February. For 1st – 3rd grade.

Learn to prepare healthy & delicious foods using seasonal produce with Renana Shvil of Fiddleheads Cooking Studio! We will be making Whatever Vegetable Soup and Garlic Bread! The recipe can be found here. Log-on with the ingredients ready and cook along with the teacher or watch and make it later!

Join Coach Shawn Parker from Team DIG USA in honing your chess skills! Students will play matches against each other every class to practice what they learn. Please register for a FREE chess.com account prior to signing up for the class. For Grades 4th and up. Please make sure you can attend both sessions.
 
Kits will be available for pickup February 8-17 during library hours. Books from the kit will be due back to the library on March 1.

Looking for things to do over break? Sign up for a winter animals activity kit! The kit contains 3 hands-on projects centered around animals in the wintertime. Younger kids will need a grown-up’s help. Kits will be available to pick up February 16-20. When you pick up your kit, be sure to visit us in the Children’s Room to browse our Winter Animals book display. For grades K-5.

Join us on Zoom for a 3-part class where we learn how to develop our own fantasy-style adventure game using Scratch. Over the course of the 3 classes we will cover coding concepts such as variables, conditionals and loops while exploring character and story development. A Scratch account is required to save your work. A computer (Windows, Apple or Chromebook) is needed for coding on the Scratch website.

Welcome to our Virtual Teddy Bear Picnic for Ages 4 and up! Join Educator Mrs. Moran for a Teddy Bear Picnic over Zoom! She will be reading stories and doing fun activities! Don’t forget to bring your favorite stuffed animal!
 
Pick up your activity packet, which contains fun materials to do before and after the program. Pick up instructions will be emailed after you sign-up. Let’s plan on spending about 30 minutes together as we get into this fun seasonal story.

Welcome to Little Bookworms, our book group for children in kindergarten and 1st grade! This month, we will read Glacier on the Move by Elizabeth Rusch and Alice Brereton together in class. Join Miss Rebecca to explore the book and do hands-on activities to enhance your learning.
 
Pick up a packet, which contains fun materials to do after the program. Pickup instructions will be emailed after you register. Let’s plan on spending about 45 minutes together as we get into this fun, seasonal story.

Join Miss Marie and Miss Rebecca for a cozy PJ story time! We will have songs, stories, and musical fun when we meet in our Zoom room! Bring a shaker, a scarf, or a stuffed animal friend to dance with. Wave to your friends at the end! This story time is ideal for families with preschoolers and early elementary kids.

The Young Critics are reading From the Desk of Zoe Washington by Janae Marks this month. Join Librarian Rebecca Fox in a Zoom meeting to discuss the book and chat with your friends! We’ll have a special visit from author Janae Marks herself to answer your questions! This program is for any children who are in 4th-6th grades.

WELCOME TO THE MYSTERIOUS ZOOM ART SOCIETY.
 
Creative and resourceful children, join us on Zoom for a monthly mystery art project. Pickup a kit from the library with the supplies needed to complete your secret art mission and we’ll work it out together during our virtual class time. We will start each meeting with a riddle or puzzle needed to unlock the secret project. For 2nd-5th grades. Kits will be available for pickup February 16-24. In addition to the supplies in the kits, you will need markers, scissors and a gluestick for this month’s project.
