Our New Canaan Health Department will be holding a Janssen (J&J) vaccination clinic next Thursday, April 15th at the Lapham Community Center for residents over the age of 18 only.
The Janssen (J&J) vaccine is a single dose vaccine that provides full vaccination 14 days after first dose administration. (Please note that the Janssen J&J vaccine has not been approved by the FDA for those under the age of 18; residents age 16 and 17 should seek vaccination clinics providing the Pfizer vaccine).
There are 600 appointment slots for this April 15th Janssen (J&J) clinic. The SignUpGenius link to register for this clinic at Lapham Center is: here. If you receive an appointment on Sign Up Genius, you must bring with you 2 sets of completed VAMS forms to your appointment. The VAMS forms can be found on the SignUpGenius registration and also on the Town website (www.newcanaan.info) at the red COVID alert box.
The Health Department will continue holding weekly clinics at Lapham Center, so if you are not able to register for the April 15th clinic there will be other weekly clinics in April. SignUpGenius registration links will be sent out weekly on Friday mornings via email only through our Everbridge emergency outcall system to register for the following weekly clinic at Lapham.
As a reminder, eligible New Canaan residents may also register through the State of CT VAMS system here for vaccination appointments elsewhere in Connecticut.
Eligible New Canaan residents may also register for vaccination appointments at Stamford Hospital. For more information and to sign up directly with Stamford Hospital please visit COVID-19 Vaccination Information at Stamford Hospital’s website or call Stamford Hospital at 203-276-7300.
Finally, we remind everyone that we should all continue to maintain social distancing, wear masks when required, wash hands frequently, and minimize the number of close contacts in order to help control the spread of COVID 19 in our community.
