“Deck The Walls!” at the Carriage Barn Arts Center - Annual holiday exhibit & fundraiser kicks off November 28 

Catch the holiday spirit in person at the Carriage Barn Art Center’s annual wreath auction and small works exhibit.  Unique, one-of-a-kind wreaths will be available to buy or bid on, along with a selection of small, original artwork priced at $250 or less.

From traditionally decorated greens to unconventional materials and themed designs, the wreaths are created and donated by local artists, designers, businesses and organizations. Wreath donors include Adirondack, New Canaan Mounted Troop, Copia, The Glass House, Bloomcraft and many more.  

Artwork by many celebrated local artists will include paintings, fine art photography, ceramics and mixed media works in a range of styles.“We are excited to be preparing for our annual Deck The Walls which has become a special holiday tradition” says Hilary Wittmann, Carriage Barn Executive Director.  "This is a great opportunity to shop for something truly unique, while supporting local artists and the Carriage Barn’s educational programs.”

Deck The Walls opens on Artists Sunday, a nationwide art-focused shopping day the first Sunday after Thanksgiving.  Visitors canshop and meet some of the featured artists at the Carriage Barn on November 28 between 1-5pm and enjoy a Scout and Cellar wine tasting 3-5pm. The gallery will be open Tuesday-Sunday through December 11 from 11am-4pm and admission is free.

As part of the 2021 Deck the Walls celebrations the Carriage Barn will host a festive “Deck the Walls” holiday party with live music by Bad Dog Buddy Band on Thursday, December 2 from 7-10pm. Wreaths and artwork will also be available to buy or bid on through an online auction, bidding ends on Sunday, December 5.
