Caroling Returns to God’s Acre on Christmas Eve!

After a year off due to the pandemic, The God’s Acre Christmas Carol Committee is happy to announce that The Annual Carol Sing on God’s Acre will return in person this year at 6:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24 at the top of God’s Acre.

The annual community tradition was begun over 100 years ago. If you are new to town, make plans to include this quintessential community event in your Christmas Eve activities!

The bandstand will be constructed by a local contractor and the New Canaan Beautification League has volunteered to decorate it with wreaths, greens and bows. The New Canaan Town Band will play eight classic Christmas carols while hundreds of families, individuals and friends
from the community will gather for the sing-along.

Song sheets will be available and distributed at the Carol Sing courtesy of Rand Insurance. Song sheets will also be printed on the back page of the New Canaan Advertiser.

The cost to decorate the tree, erect the bandstand, and other minor costs are paid for through donations which can be sent to the New Canaan Community Foundation at 111 Cherry Street, New Canaan, CT 06840 and please write God’s Acre Carols in the memo.
