Final Medical Lecture Featuring New Canaan's Dr. William Hines

Stamford Hospital and New Canaan Library’s collaborative MED ED series draws to a close with the final lecture tomorrow (Tuesday, October 21st) featuring Dr. William Hines from New Canaan. He will talk about his specialty - Nephrology. MED ED has been offered through co-sponsorship with New Canaan YMCA and the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce. The lecture begins at 6:30pm in the Library’s Adrian Lamb Room.

Dr. Hines presentation is entitled: "The Kidneys – How they Function and How they Do Not". This talk will focus on the normal functioning of the kidneys and the ways in which kidneys do not function normally. Approaches for maintaining optimal kidney function will be discussed, as will methods for treating kidneys when they do not function.

MED ED, under Program Director and general internist Deena Ebright, MD has offered a unique opportunity to become more informed about the world of medicine and health. Time will be allowed for a question and answer period following the lecture. All participating physicians are board-certified and leaders in their fields.
