The Young Women's League of New Canaan Focuses on the Health and Wellness of Communities

Many exciting things are on the agenda for the Young Women's League of New Canaan as the members come together to focus on the health and wellness of communities and continue their commitment to enriching the lives of those who reside in lower Fairfield County. This steadfast dedication to volunteerism and fundraising is reflected in the current theme of "Strive to Thrive: Healthy Choices, Healthy Communities".

At the helm of the organization is Kit Demko, the new President who is also supported by a new team of board members. Kit made the following statement to the membership of the League: "The YWL is made up of women that are intelligent, strong, energizing and, yes, fun! And now here's the great news: having fun and doing good things are not mutually exclusive."

Some exciting events are on the horizon for the League for the upcoming Fall season. The "Opening Soiree" will take place on Thursday, September 24th at Heather Gaudio Fine Art Studio, now located at 66 Elm Street in downtown New Canaan at 7:30pm. This festive event will celebrate the start of another great year for the organization with cocktails, art and conversation. Prospective new members and friends are welcome to attend!

Also on the agenda this Fall is "Sweat for a Cause" on October 4th, to be hosted by Oxygen Fitness.

The leadership of the Young Women's League of New Canaan would like to thank their sponsors for their continued dedication, generosity and support: New Country Porsche of Greenwich (Premier Sponsor) as well as Elite Sponsors: Stamford Hospital, Kristin Thomas - Love Your Look and Toddlertime Nursery School.
