INTRODUCTORY LEVEL FAMILY FISHING COURSE

A Connecticut State Energy & Environmental Protection presented course covering the basics of fish and fishing. Designed for families and kids ages 8 and up (children must be accompanied by an adult). You will learn about fishing tackle, how to cast, knot tying, safety, regulation and how to identify your catch. Instruction and materials are offered FREE OF CHARGE. This class has an enrollment cutoff and telephone pre-registration is required by calling the Recreation Department Office during business hours.

9:00-11:00 (8:30 registration) Free, New Canaan residents only.
A secret stocking of the pond for children ages 15 and younger (ages 10 and younger must be accompanied by an adult). Special prizes awarded to children.
Monday, April 9 from 9:00-3:00 at Waveny House. Limited enrollment of 10 students.
