New Canaan Chamber Board Elects A New President

The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Meredith Bach, Director of Marketing at RAND Insurance as President of its Board of Directors. Meredith is a fourth-generation New Canaanite, and her family owned and ran the Melba Inn for over 75 years.

Tucker Murphy, Executive Director of the Chamber said, “Our mission is ‘connecting community with commerce,’ and we kept those four words very much top of mind as our next President was selected”. “Meredith not only represents a successful local business—she is also deeply involved in our town. Beyond participating in chamber events such the Chamber Cup Golf Outing, the Sidewalk Sales, Holiday Stroll and Taste of the Town, she actively fundraises for community agencies and volunteers with several local service organizations such as the DAR, The New Canaan Museum & Historical Society and the Founders Terrace for God’s Acre. Meredith and her team were also responsible for the flags that adorned Elm and Main Street lampposts from Memorial Day through Veterans Day.” She is looking forward to working closely with the Chamber team and continuing to support the town and local businesses. Her three-year term begins this month.

A big thank you to the outgoing President, Tom Stadler who lead the Chamber the past three years and was a large reason for the success of the organization.
