Town of New Canaan Parking and Transfer Station Permit Renewals

Town of New Canaan Parking and Transfer Station Permit Renewals for 2020-21

PARKING PERMIT RENEWALS

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, annual parking permits for commuter and business lots that are due to expire on June 30, 2020 will be extended until October 31, 2020.

Parking permit renewal applications will be mailed out in September and will reflect a pro-rated 8-month permit effective from November 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

Updates about parking permits renewals will be posted on the Town website.  Any inquiries about renewing or obtaining a parking permit should be directed to the Parking Department at (203) 594-3040 or by email to Stacy.Miltenberg@newcanaanct.gov.

Metered parking fees will continue to be suspended in all downtown parking lots through August 31, 2020.  Timed street parking, loading zones, handicap spaces and any other illegal parking will be enforced and violators will be ticketed.

TRANSFER STATION PERMIT RENEWALS

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, current transfer station permits that are due to expire on June 30, 2020 will be extended until August 31, 2020.  Renewal applications for September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 will be available online in August, and current permit holders will receive emails to renew online. If we do not have an email address for you, we will mail you instructions about how to renew online or in person.

New permits from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 will be available for purchase at the Transfer Station Scale House.

Updates about transfer station permit renewals will be posted on the Town website.  Any inquiries regarding transfer station permits should be directed to the Department of Public Works at (203) 594-3011 or by email to transferstation@newcanaanct.gov.
