Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, annual parking permits for commuter and business lots that were due to expire on June 30, 2020 will now be extended until December 31, 2020.
Parking permit renewal applications will not be mailed out at this time since there may be a need to further delay renewals for the 2020-2021 year. Residents or employees who have questions about obtaining a new commuter or business parking permit or residents would like to add their names to the commuter lot waitlists can contact the Parking Bureau at 203-594-3040 or email stacy.miltenberg@newcanaanct.gov.
Metered parking fees in all commuter parking lots will be suspended through December 31, 2020 and will not be enforced.
Metered parking fees will continue to be suspended in all downtown parking lots to help support the business community through December 31, 2020. However, timed street parking, loading zones, no parking zones, handicap spaces and any other illegal parking will continue to be enforced and violators will be ticketed.
