New Canaan Chamber presents: 30 Days of Family

Once Again the Chamber is proud to partner with the New Canaan Asset Building Organizations to announce April is 30 Days of Family Month in New Canaan. The message is that Dinner Makes a Difference! When children have dinner with their families five to seven times a week, they are 33% less likely to use alcohol or drugs.

The Initiative, now in its third year, is inspired by “Family Day,” a national movement that informs parents that the engagement fostered during frequent family dinners is an effective tool to help keep America’s kids' substance free.

The focus this year is to encourage families to have screen-free dinners with “eye contact not iContact.” As such, New Canaan Health and Human Services are donating cell phone baskets that will be available to New Canaan families.

These baskets will be available after April 6th at the following locations:

Vine Cottage – 61 Main Street

New Canaan Cares & New Canaan Chamber – 91 Elm Street (above the Movie Theater)
New Canaan YMCA – Front Desk 564 South Avenue (during 4/20 event)

Please come get your FREE basket and place it on your dinner table!
