Girl Power at Stepping Stones Museum for Children!

LiveGirl Open House Inspires

The Stepping Stones Museum for Children was full of girl power on Friday night, as LiveGirl hosted its back to school open house.

Keynote speaker Alyson Gerber is the bestselling author of “Braced” and Focused”. Her books are based upon her own life experiences, growing up with scoliosis and ADHD. Ms. Gerber explained that we all have problems and urged the crowd, “Get out a blank piece of paper and write about your biggest problem or humiliation and see what happens.” Ms. Gerber concluded, “It might just change your life.”

The crowd was also entertained by Broadway singer Brennyn Lark. Previously seen on Broadway’s Les Misérables and Dream Girls, Ms. Lark sang and inspired with her talent. She also answered questions from many aspiring singers!

LiveGirl offers year-round leadership development and mentoring for girls grades 5-12. Registration is now open for after school programs, including the middle school “Confidence Club” and high school “LiveGirl League.” Learn more at www.goLiveGirl.org
