Letter: New Canaan's LiveGirl Offers Thanks

Amid the global pandemic, we were determined to provide girls with summer programs fostering independence, connection, purpose, and fun.

We would like to thank our supporters and sponsors for helping us achieve our objective. We delivered virtual camps and Confidence Clubs with a free laptop loan program - and reached over 500 girls this summer.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to:

* Kim Gerardi, St. Luke’s School designLab Instructor, for hosting a Girls Who Code Club and sparking interest in STEAM.

*Upcycle Computers for donating Chromebooks so that we could offer free laptop loans to underserved girls without access to technology.

*New Canaan Community Foundation, Newcomers Club of New Canaan, New Canaan Youth & Family Services, and Refinitiv for sponsoring camp scholarships and making it possible for us to mail 500 free copies of our 52-page Camp LiveGirl@Home> activity book.

LiveGirl’s summer programs provided the opportunity for girls to embrace diversity and connect through sisterhood, laughs, and leadership development. In the middle of a pandemic, these things are especially important.
