Registration Open for LiveGirl’s Fall Programs Focused on Building Resilience During the Pandemic

Amid the pandemic, confidence and connection are more important than ever. Registration is now open for LiveGirl’s fall programs, serving girls in grade 5 through college with virtual and small, in-person groups.

According to LiveGirl Founder and CEO Sheri West, “We are seeing many girls negatively impacted by the uncertainty and social disconnectedness. So our focus is on building resilience and the skills to lead during the pandemic.”

LiveGirl provides a wide range of free-of-charge leadership development and mentoring programs, including eight week middle school Confidence Clubs and high school League projects to conferences, leadership summits, and parent/daughter workshops. All programs are evidence-based and proven to build self-esteem and social emotional intelligence — the building blocks of a confident leader. LiveGirl also provides young women with authentic opportunities to build bridges to people whose lives are different from their own — developing empathy, the key to becoming an inclusive leader.

Alison Waller, LiveGirl Program Director, elaborated, “With the pandemic uncertainty looming, we are thrilled to let girls know that our programs are a certainty.” Waller stated, “Our middle school programs equip girls with the skills to lead themselves and navigate their teen years, while our high school and college programs equip young women with the skills to lead others and make a positive impact in their communities.”

Surrounding the national reckoning on race, LiveGirl is also providing anti-racism resources and hosting a “Listen, Learn, Act” racial justice, identity and empowerment conversation series geared toward teens.
