Rowayton Arts Center Open Call to Artists – Spring Juried Show 2021

Online submissions are now being accepted in an Open Call to Artists for the “Spring Juried Show” at Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) from March 14, 2021 to April 10, 2020. The show is open to all artists interested in exhibiting their artwork. Categories include: oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor, mixed media, color photography, black and white photography, sculpture, printmaking, pastels or drawing. Submit pieces for consideration at http://rowaytonarts.org/entries.

Deadline is February 12, 2021 and accepted artists will be notified by February 19, 2021.

The judge for the exhibition is Cebele Maylone, Executive Director of The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield. Cybele previously served for five years as executive director at UrbanGlass, an artist glass studio in Brooklyn. Prior to UrbanGlass, she was Deputy Director of apexart, a contemporary art space, and Associate Development Director for individual giving at the New Museum of contemporary art, both in Manhattan. Cybele is a graduate of Earlham College (Art History) and Teachers College, Columbia University (M.A. Arts Administration).

The opening reception on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 4 pm to 6 pm is free and open to the public. RAC celebrates the study, creation and appreciation of the arts through classes, exhibitions and events open to all in the community. 

For over 60 years, this nonprofit organization has been a cultural gem in Rowayton, CT. The gallery and art school overlook the scenic Five Mile River at 145 Rowayton Avenue with space for regional artists to exhibit their art and a classroom for workshops and classes at all levels offered to children and adults.
