COVID Vaccine Clinic in New Canaan on Thursday

COVID Vaccine Clinic on Thursday, COVID testing at Lapham will be discontinued after June 1st

The Health Department is having a vaccination clinic this Thursday, May 27th for those still in need of either first or second dose. The Pfizer, Moderna and Jansen (J&J) vaccines are all available in limited supply. Please register with this link here and put in the comments which vaccine you need and whether it is a first or second dose.  If you are coming for the second dose please bring your white vaccination card to your 2nd dose appointments so the Health Department can add the 2nd dose vaccination information to your card.

As a reminder for the 12-15 year olds, a signed parental consent form is required and a parent/or guardian must be present with the child at the clinic with both sets of VAMS forms completed for the child. Those aged 16-17 must have a signed parental consent form and the VAMS forms but do not have to have a parent/or guardian present. Ages 18 and up only need to bring both sets of VAMS forms. Please remember to bring both sets of VAMS forms and signed parental consent form (if applicable) which are linked to the SignUpGenius registration and also found in the red COVID box on town website at www.newcanaan.info

Our Health Department continues to offer on-site mobile vaccinations to any New Canaan business that has employees still in need of vaccinations and wanting to be vaccinated. The vaccination is completely free, but business owners/managers must schedule the on-site vaccinations with the Health Department by calling 203-594-3020. The Health Department will provide Moderna or Janssen (J&J) vaccines for the on-site vaccinations so employees must be aged 18 and over to meet the FDA approval guidelines.

As announced last week COVID testing at Lapham will be discontinued after June 1st due to very limited demand and increased testing availability in the area. We thank Waveny LifeCare for assisting in providing convenient PCR testing for our residents for over seven months. We would also thank our Health Department staff and volunteers who supported the Lapham test site the past seven months.
