StacyAnn Brown Joins as Academic Director at Horizons at NCCS

Horizons at New Canaan Country School is thrilled to announce the appointment of StacyAnn Brown as the Academic Director. As Academic Director, StacyAnn will be responsible for developing and implementing the academic components of the Horizons summer and school year programs, along with hiring and managing the summer and school year staff. She will work closely with the Horizons at NCCS Director of Student and Family Support, Nehemie Young to create programs that support the growth and development of the whole child. 

StacyAnn has many years of experience managing operations at educational nonprofits, including serving as the program coordinator for the P-Tech Program at Norwalk Community College and Norwalk High School and the project coordinator for The Upward Bound program at Stamford Public Schools. StacyAnn also serves as an adjunct professor at Norwalk Community College. StacyAnn is passionate about creating access and opportunity for under-resourced and under-represented youth. She lives in Norwalk with her husband and three children. 

Founded in 1964, Horizons at NCCS is the first in a nationwide network of programs that are successfully closing the opportunity gap experienced by under-resourced students. Horizons at NCCS builds deep and lasting relationships with the more than 400 kindergarten through post-secondary students from Norwalk and Stamford it serves.
