The Carriage Barn Art Center Call for Submissions for Contemporary Art Show

The Carriage Barn Art Center has announced details of the organization's 34th annual juried contemporary art show "Spectrum," opening April 28, 2023. The exhibit will be juried by Rachael Placios and Heather Gaudio of New Canaan's Heather Gaudio Fine Art.

Spectrum is a juried exhibition of original, contemporary artwork by local and regional artists, and invites submissions in all media. Works must have been completed in the last two years and not previously exhibited at the Carriage Barn Arts Center. The jurors will review original works that speak to the theme of PASSAGES.

“Heather Gaudio Fine Art specializes in emerging and established artists, exhibiting works on paper, photography, painting, sculpture and site-specific installations," says Hilary Wittmann, executive director of the Carriage Barn Arts Center. "It's a tremendous honor to collaborate with Heather and gallery director Rachael on Spectrum, and a wonderful opportunity for artists to submit work for consideration."

Artists can find complete details and submit work for consideration online at carriagebarn.org, the deadline is April 2. The exhibit opens on April 27 with a reception from 6-8pm. Gallery hours are Wednesday - Saturday from 10am-3pm and Sunday from 1-5pm and the exhibit will run through Saturday, May 27.
