Your opinion matters! New Canaan is seeking input from residents regarding the Town's Plan of Conservation and Development

The Town of New Canaan is seeking input from residents regarding the Town's Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD).

New Canaan last updated their POCD in 2014. The State requires that municipalities update their POCDs every ten years to establish a vision and objectives that address housing, economic development, parks and open space, historical and natural resources, and sustainability, among other topics. This survey addresses these topics. Future engagement opportunities will build upon these topics. The next public engagement opportunity will be on October 26th.

The following survey is meant to better understand how the community feels about New Canaan in its current state and where it should be heading. The survey has 23 main questions about New Canaan and up to 13 optional questions about you.

We recommend that you set aside approximately 20-25 minutes to complete the survey. Your responses will help establish shared values and priorities for New Canaan's future and will guide the planning process. The POCD Development team respects the privacy of all survey participants, individual answers and personal demographic information collected from this survey will not be accessible to the public.
