New Canaan Library is proud to join with Edible Nutmeg Magazine in announcing a new food-centric video series, Edible Nutmeg on the Road. The second video series has been sponsored by Walter Stewart’s Market and is hosted by Food Network star, Chef Plum.
The debut event will take place on Wednesday, September 21 at 6pm (starts at 6.30pm) in the Library's Lamb Room.
Edible Nutmeg magazine highlights regional food and drink across Connecticut. Now, it has ventured out and announces a video series, "Edible Nutmeg on the Road": a unique collection of short, inspired videos that celebrate local farmers and purveyors incorporating humor and interviews. Hosted by Food Network celebrity Chef Plum, each segment focuses on the bounties of the season with quick and easy recipes to follow. New Canaan Library invites you to enjoy food samples from local farms and purveyors at this debut event.
Since 2006, Edible Nutmeg magazine has been Connecticut’s source for information about regional food, farming, sustainability, and the local communities that support it. Chef Plum has a passion for simple, easy, farm foods, believing great food doesn’t need gimmicks. Chef Plum's latest brainchild, the award winning Dinner Underground, has launched a series of pop-up restaurants across Connecticut.
They will talk about the importance of supporting local farms and purveyors and also show footage from Edible on the Road series, which has been sponsored by Walter Stewart's Market.
Wave Hill Breads, Black Hog Brewery and Copp's Island Oysters will be providing food and refreshments.
