Music@New Canaan Library starts the year off right with a spectacular afternoon of music by Carnegie Hall performing artist, Peter Fletcher. The event takes place on Thursday, January 31 at 6:30 p.m. in the Adrian Lamb Room. Please register online at newcanaanlibrary.org.

Peter Fletcher's repertoire includes works by classical composers such as Bach, Walton, and Paganini and transcriptions of classical pieces that have never been played on guitar before. Peter performs more than 100 concerts every year, has recorded several albums for the Centaur and Towerhill record labels, and is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music.

Peter has toured the country performing at many prestigious venues such as the Firehouse Arts Center in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Pro-Mozart Society Concert Series in Atlanta, GA, and Tryon Fine Arts Center in North Carolina. He made his New York Debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in February 2007, and returned in 2008, 2009 and 2010 to a completely sold-out house. In 2013, 2015, and early 2017 Fletcher performed once again at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
