Community Colleges Ranked Top Connecticut Schools by Intelligent.com

Housatonic, Gateway and Norwalk Community Colleges have been awarded top ranking status for Best Colleges In Connecticut by Intelligent.com.

Each year, the independent, Seattle-based resource for student higher education planning ranks colleges and programs across the country. In Connecticut, the site assessed 151 universities and colleges, evaluating them on the basis of flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost and reputation. An “Intelligent Score” was developed and only 41 made the final list as top picks.

Of those 41 Top Connecticut schools, Gateway Community College received a ranking of 29, Housatonic came in at number 30, and Norwalk received a score of 33.

“The 2021 rankings are calculated through a unique scoring system which includes student engagement, potential return on investment and leading third-party evaluations,” stated Intelligent.com.

In addition to an overall score, each of the three area community colleges received additional accolades for specific areas of study. Housatonic Community College earned the distinction of “Best for Professional Ed”, Gateway earned the honor of “Best for Automotive Tech”, and Norwalk was chosen as “Best Community College for Social/Behavioral Sciences”.
