Town of New Canaan parking permit renewals effective July 1

Commuter Parking Permits

Renewals for annual parking permits for commuter lots (Lumber Yard, Richmond Hill and Talmadge Hill) will resume on July 1, 2021 at the previous pre-COVID rate set for 2020-2021. See attached chart.

The 2021-2022 Parking Permit Renewal applications will be emailed to current permit holders to their email addresses on file.  If you would like to update your email address, please contact the Parking Bureau at 203-594-3040 or by emailing stacy.miltenberg@newcanaanct.gov.

Permit holders who wish to defer the renewal of an existing commuter lot permit can contact the Parking Bureau.

If you have questions about obtaining a new commuter parking permit or would like to add your name to the commuter lot wait list, contact the Parking Bureau.

Metered parking fees in all commuter lots will also resume on July 1, 2021.

In addition, privately-owned parking spaces at St. Aloysius Church (21 Cherry Street) and the Walgreen’s shopping complex (36 Pine Street) are available to commuters on a daily basis by reserving a space at www.boxcarapp.com.

Commercial Parking Permits

Renewals of annual parking permits for commercial lots at Park Street, Telephone and Morse Court lots will resume on July 1, 2021 at the previous pre-COVID rate set for 2020-2021.  See attached chart.

The 2021-2022 Parking Permit Renewal applications will be emailed to the current permit holders to the email addresses on file.  If you would like to update your email address, please contact the Parking Bureau at 203-594-3040 or by emailing stacy.miltenberg@newcanaanct.gov.

Downtown Worker Parking

Free downtown worker parking permits for the Center and Locust lots will be extended through December 31, 2021. 

Any downtown business owner/employee who does not currently have a permit in the Center or Locust lots can apply for a free permit by contacting the Parking Bureau at 203-594-3040 or by email at stacymiltenberg@newcanaanct.gov.
