Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Restore Massage Studio!
Three questions with Kally Daniele, founder of Restore Massage Studio.
Why did you start your business?
Before the pandemic, I was the Manager at Pryority Wellness, where we had a significant following for our massage therapy treatments. When Pryority closed Its doors, I made my dream of creating my business reality and built a studio, with the hope that when business reopened, I could offer the Restorative treatments that our clients couldn't wait to receive.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services), and can you name them?
I love the amount of qualified local businesses around us! I have close relationships with the locals who create products for the studio, I can trust them, and they use the best ingredients available. I have all of my aromatherapy oils, balms, and diffuser blends made from a local aromatherapist Jamie Buchanan (Just Breathe Aromas).
I carry local acupuncturist Stephanie Coogans products such as CBN sleep aid gummies. We carry a CBD brand and Steady, which is from a local distributor that lives in New Canaan. You can also find behind our desk a beautiful painting done by a local artist Jennifer Colombo.
Have you reimagined your small business?
One of the positives of opening my business during the pandemic is that when I began this business, I had safety measures already in place to handle this ”new normal,” air quality and sanitizing were part of making sure we were doing our part to run a safe business. When we opened our doors on July 1st of 2020, we had only one massage room. Since then, we have added another room, and we are blessed to say the business is doing well!
Kally would like to nominate Catalina Skin & Body to be featured next!
