Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Forme Barre Fitness!

Four questions with Tyler Ingram from Forme Barre Fitness.

Why did you start your business?

My wife and I are former professional ballet dancers who became directors at Forme Barre Fitness in the fall of 2020 and then bought the business in June of this year.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Our classes and our virtual studio are absolutely our best-selling products.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We've partnered with Green and Tonic, and are about to begin partnering with the Parent Collective, and are constantly looking to partner with other local businesses.

Have you reimagined your small business?

We reimagined the brand of workout we sell to make it a little more biomechanically sophisticated, and to bring in a more elevated approach to correction and alignment.

Forme Barre Fitness is located at 141 West Putnam Avenue in Greenwich and 18 Elm Street in New Canaan.
