On Saturday, February 4 the Carriage Barn Art Center’s annual juried photography show opened to the public with a reception from 4-6pm. The exhibit features over 100 pieces by professional, amateur and student photographers selected for inclusion in this year’s show.
The show was juried by Christina Zanetti, director of the Bruce Silverstein Gallery in New York City. “It was an honor to review the 650 impressive photography submissions,” says Zanetti. “I selected pieces that -- to me -- reflect the artists' aim to encourage appreciation and understanding of contemporary art, creating a safe space to exercise curiosity about their work and engage with viewers through sharing their vision, stories, and connections with the human experience.”
Visit carriagebarn.org for information about other exhibit related events and to view the virtual gallery. The photography exhibit will be on view through Sunday, March 5, 2023 and is sponsored by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices with additional support from Walter Stewart’s, Stewart’s Spirits and Milford Photo. The photographs are for sale and a portion of sales benefits the Carriage Barn Arts Center.
The Carriage Barn, located in New Canaan’s Waveny Park, is open to the public and admission is free. Gallery hours are Wednesday-Saturday from 10am-3pm and Sunday from 1-5pm.
