Ivanka Trump Says She Met Bright and Talented Students at NECA at Norwalk High School

Yesterday, Monday, December 18, Ivanka Trump, Senior White House Adviser and the daughter of President Donald J. Trump, made a surprise visit to Norwalk Early College Academy (NECA) at Norwalk High School.

Ivanka wrote on her Facebook Page, "Great visit to Norwalk Early College Academy today with IBM CEO Ginni Rometty. PTECH schools equip high school students with skills training in #STEM and Computer Science, enabling them to thrive in our modern economy. It was an honor to meet so many bright and talented students!"

Ivanka, who visited NECA with IBM CEO Ginni Rometty, appeared on FOX & Friends yesterday saying that she is investing deeply in vocational education and technical education due to the 6 million jobs unfilled due to lack of skills.

About NECA:

NECA is a school-within-a-school based on the P-TECH (9-14) model. In partnership with Norwalk Community College and IBM, NECA combines the best of high school, college and the professional world. With a focus on college and career readiness, workplace learning courses, site-visits and internships are an integral component of the model. In as little as four years, scholars can earn a high school diploma and AAS degree in Mobile Programming or Software Engineering. Upon graduation, scholars are prepared to join the workforce, are first in line for interviews with IBM, or may transfer to a four-year institution to complete their undergraduate studies.
