Gov. Lamont Signs Landmark Bill at Grace Farms Modernizing our Government

Office of Governor Ned Lamont signed an important bill at Grace Farms that will help Connecticut be better prepared for future crises.

A landmark public-private partnership between Grace Farms and the State was established during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Led by Sharon Prince, our CEO and Founder, the Grace Farms Relief Fund for Connecticut worked to supply and deliver more than 2 Million PPE to frontline healthcare workers and first responders.

“Together, we were able to leverage expertise and work as one team across the government and in partnership with the private sector, to help keep our doctors, nurses and our brave first responders safe,” said Prince.

The bill, Public Act No. 21-76. An Act Concerning the Modernization of State Services, promotes and puts a premium on fairness at every step of the procurement process, tightening important ethics rules and controls, and creates a framework for solving pressing problems.
