Important Election Day Information for New Canaan Voters

The Electors of the Town of New Canaan are hereby warned to meet at their respective polling places in said Town on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2021, for the following purpose, to wit:

To cast their votes for First Selectman, Selectman, Town Clerk, Treasurer, Board of Assessment Appeals, Board of Education, Town Council and Constables.

Notice is hereby given that the locations of the polling places are as follows:

District 1  New Canaan High School, 11 Farm Road

Districts 2 & 3  Saxe Middle School, 468 South Avenue

The polls will be open from 6:00AM until 8:00PM.

Absentee Ballots will be counted at a central location – Town Hall (77 Main Street, New Canaan).

IMPORTANT VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINES FOR VOTING ON NOVEMBER 2ND

October 26, 2021 – Deadline 8PM

In-person, mail-in and online cutoffs in all towns.  The last Regular voter registration session.  All mail-in voter registration applications must be received or postmarked by this date.  Hours:  9:00am to 8:00pm. Note:  11:59pm on this date is also the deadline to register to vote using the Online Voter Registration System.

November 1, 2021 – LIMITED REGISTRATION SESSION 

For those seeking to vote in the election whose qualification as to age, citizenship or residence was attained since October 26th.  Hours 8:00a.m. – 5:00pm.
