On January 31, 2023, the New Canaan Board of Selectman approved an increase in parking meter rates and parking fines. These rates will become effective April 1, 2023.
The new rates and new parking fines are as follows:
Parking Meter Rate Increase:
Morse Court, Park Street and Playhouse lots:
Increase Rates:
15 minutes – from $.25 to $.30
30 minutes – from $.50 to $.55
45 minutes – from $.75 to $.80
1 hour – from $1.00 to $1.25
The 6 hour spaces in the Playhouse lot will increase from $3.00 to $3.50.
Center and Locust lots:
Increase Rate:
1 hour – from $.50 to $.55
