Troopers Seek Suspect ID in New Canaan Service Area Larceny and Threatening Investigation

On December 21, 2017 at approximately 4:25 a.m., a male suspect entered the ALLTOWN convenience store and Dunkin' Donuts store both located at the Route 15 Northbound Service Area in New Canaan.

The male suspect stole several miscellaneous items from the ALLTOWN sales floor without the knowledge of the cashier, then walked over to Dunkin' Donuts and attempted to steal a plastic coffee mug. He returned the plastic coffee mug to the Dunkin Donuts store clerk after the clerk told him to hand the mug over.

As the male suspect was exiting the store through the front entrance, he turned to the Dunkin' Donuts clerk and stated "I'll blow your f******g head off" while simultaneously gesturing with his hands as if he were reaching for a handgun in his waistband.

A weapon was suggested but never displayed and the male suspect verbalized and gestured several times that he had a weapon and would shoot the clerk before walking out of the facility. He was accompanied by an unknown black male wearing dark clothing and a ball cap.

The male suspect and black male left the service area in a black S.U.V. The suspect has been to the service area on several other occasions over the past several months but has paid for items with cash.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his thirties or forties, about 6’ tall with a small cross tattoo on his face near his right eye. He was wearing a large white/light beige colored vest, black sweat jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers and a black ball cap with a red "C' on the front.

Anyone who thinks they may have any information or thinks they may know the identity or whereabouts of either males is asked to call Trooper First Class Marandola at Troop G-Bridgeport at 203-696-2500‬ or text TIP711 with any information to 274637. All calls and texts with remain confidential.
